Architecture Minor
NewSchool students enrolled in non-architecture undergraduate programs can choose to minor in architecture to get an understanding of architecture and other disciplines involved in the design and construction of the built environment. Courses are offered during the fall, winter, and spring terms. Students interested in pursuing this minor must seek approval from their academic advisor or program chair and the architecture program chair.
A minor will be awarded to NewSchool students who complete their major course of study and a minimum of 18 credits of their electives or additional work in a predefined series of courses. A minor is reflected on the student鈥檚 transcript and diploma.
Construction Management Minor
Students interested in complementing their studies with a minor in construction management must apply to the program and be approved by the Chair of Construction Management. They must also get approval from their academic advisor and program chair. Courses in the construction management minor are offered sequentially during the fall, winter, and spring terms.
A minor will be awarded to NewSchool students who complete their major course of study and who focus a portion of their electives or additional work in a predefined series of courses. Interior Architecture & Design Minor
The interior architecture and design minor enriches knowledge in designing interior environments. Emphasizing research and space programming for human well-being, the minor enables students to practice designing spaces like hospitals, hotels, and innovative commercial and public areas. The interior architecture and design minor is open NewSchool undergraduate students not enrolled in the Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Design.
Students interested in the interior architecture and design minor should obtain approval from their academic advisor, as well as the program chairs for both their major and minor. To earn a minor, students must successfully complete their major and allocate a minimum of 15 credits to specific courses. A minor is reflected on the student’s transcript and diploma.
Graphic Design & Interactive Media Minor
Students interested in exploring visual communication and graphic design, brand identity and strategies, and design for digital and interactive media should consider a minor in graphic design and interactive media. This minor is open to all undergraduate students not enrolled in the Bachelor of Graphic Design & Interactive Media. To pursue this minor, students must get approval from their academic advisor, as well as the program chairs for their major and desired minor.

Product Design Minor
The minor in product design is for students interested in exploring the design of industrial products. With a strong emphasis on human-centered design tools and project-based learning methods, the product design minor covers the design of traditional artifacts as well as the design of digital products and systems. This minor is open to all undergraduate students not enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Product Design.
